Join us for a winter photography tour with OM SYSTEM Abmassador at the stunning location of Lake Kerkini in Northern Greece!
If you like to photograph birds and wildlife, we invite you to a photo trip to Greece for Dalmatian Pelicans and Flamingos. The Dalmatian Pelican is the largest pelican species in the world. It can grow to an impressive 1.75m length with a huge wingspan of just over 3m.
The purpose of the trip is to observe and photograph Dalmatian pelicans living in the area of Lake Kerkini National Park. The photography day will be divided into two main parts: capturing images at sunrise and in the late afternoon as the day comes to an end. In both cases, we will aim to take advantage of the golden hour and capture photos in the best possible lighting conditions. Photos will be taken both from a boat and from the shore. The trip will be led by an OM System Ambassador, who will be at your disposal throughout and help you enhance your photographic skills. We will have the opportunity to capture a wide range of shots, from portraits to wide-angle shots in the beautiful landscape.
Located in northern Greece, not far from the border with Bulgaria and Macedonia, Lake Kerkini is one of those places where you can truly get close to the wild nature and birds. It is also one of the most important places in Europe where the Dalmatian pelican can be found. Therefore, it's no wonder that a National Park was established here in 2006.
