Join photographer and visual storyteller Jimmy Cheng for a guided photo walk around the vibrant Soho region of London and get hands-on with the latest OM SYSTEM OM-3 and selection of lenses.
If you’ve never used OM SYSTEM kit before or haven’t yet experienced their range of lenses or the OM-3, now is your chance to discover the incredible benefits these cameras and lenses can offer. This is a fantastic opportunity to try the latest OM SYSTEM equipment, and get tips, tricks and inspiration that you can put into your own work.
During this photo walk (expected to run for approximately 90 minutes), Jimmy will take you around some of the best locations in Soho, China Town and the Theatre District of London. During the walk, Jimmy will offer tips on composition, exposure and focusing, and how you can put the OM SYSTEM range of cameras and lenses to best use when shooting street photography.
With a passion for being a picture taker, time freezer, moment recorder, visual story-teller, or what ever you’d like to call him, Jimmy is known for capturing memorable images and is eager to explore new perspectives and techniques.
Whether you're a seasoned shooter or just starting out, this photo walk promises to be a fun and enriching experience!
This session is interactive. Therefore, if you already own an OM SYSTEM camera, please ensure you bring it along, with some an SD card to ensure you can take your shots home with you. A selection of lenses and OM-3 cameras will be available for you to test out during this walk on a first-come first-served basis. Please note that a valid photo ID will be required to loan equipment.
As this is an event in association with OM SYSTEM UK, shooting with other brands during this walk will not be permitted.
The OM-3 is built for urban creativity, combining a compact, retro design with powerful performance. From street photography to low-light scenes, it’s always ready when you are.
This session is limited to just 10 delegates.
The photo walk will end back at Park Cameras at 34 Rathbone Place, where Jimmy will be available to discuss further information about the kit or techniques he has demonstrated.
This walk will be at a leisurely pace and is mainly on the level ground. There will be plenty of time allowed for you to get your shots. It is also recommended to bring a coat and/or an umbrella, as the weather can be unpredictable. If conditions are wet, Jimmy may adjust the route to allow shots from sheltered locations. Please also bring a bottle of water to ensure you keep hydrated for the duration of the walk.
