Discover another universe - the small world. Learn to see, that is notice, the "everyday details" around us all the time. Lisa will talk about some of the lenses (see table) and their ability for closeup and macro photography and discuss some of the techniques needed to photograph the beauty and drama of the close-up and macro world. Technical, aesthetic, and creative aspects (like light painting) of Close-up and Macro Photography will be discussed. Lisa will also talk about some of the tools and techniques used to capture and light small objects: depth of field, focus stacking, focus bracketing, tripods, macro rails, macro lenses, zoom lenses with macro capability, LED lighting, the AK diffuser, controlling your background, lightpainting, pareidolia, etc. Once you slow down and notice the details, everything becomes your photo studio -- your backyard, gardens, junkyards, city streets, National Parks, etc. -- macro photography allows you to become delightfully lost in the intimate details of our world.
***Please note: customers with any brand camera may attend this workshop; however, it is intended for OM SYSTEM/Olympus camera owners and will discuss modes and features specific to Olympus cameras.***
Lisa and Tom are photographic artists and workshop leaders who love to share their passion with others. They love photographing almost every subject, but are especially drawn to night photography, light painting, urban exploration, nature photography, and creative photography. Their photography allows them to pay attention to the details, to be mindful, and to appreciate all of the beauty and nuances of our world.
